Black on Grey on White

Last week-end was unexpected, well not the week-end itself but the turn of events! The Hug , Chinese Whispers and Bricks & Stones have unexpectedly made front page row and are sitting in the Heinrich Friederichs Museum' s "Alten Apotheke" Equine Gallery show windows in Warendorf, Germany.   Pull Forth and a few framed prints are holding up the fort inside. Very exciting to have been able to bring these special drawings out of hiding and straight into the limelight.

Honour and humility come in multiple forms. One of them is being invited to be a part of something new , being invited to be a part something of great quality, being asked to be part of something you know is going to be big ! The   Equis Art Gallery , owned by the very talented Fine Art Photographer and Director of the ex Arte Equinus International equine art competition Juliet Harrison ,  is in the run-up to its GRAND opening on Mai the 24-26 and judging by the wee-behind-the-scene-peeks I've been able to enjoy, I can confirm this gallery is going to be a force to be reckoned with . Focusing on representing equine artists who excel in working in non-traditional  mediums and styles, the Equis  art gallery  offers art collectors a varied selection of equine artwork that  step  well beyond  the realms of the "traditional" into the contemporary and new . Jubilation and relief at this end as my work has arrived safely and in time for the equine art exhibition "Cavalcade II".   This is the  Figura Art Gallery's  second equine themed art exhibition. The exhibition show cases a selection of equine art in a variety of mediums: bronze, graphite, oil, watercolour and acrylic and runs from the 7th of May through to the  23rd of July.   This is a major exhibition in my calendar, as the exhibition runs for a long period (three months)  and will co-inside with The Royal Windsor Horse Show as well Royal Ascot horse races...  This year I have 11 drawings on display.   Rest & Peace is one of them. Some of you are familiar with this piece from an earlier post actually my second post.   This wee chap has now been finished, framed and sent across the waters to England.   Rest & Peace illustrates todays post simply because this is how I feel knowing that my work is out of a box and hanging proud.
